Miramar Park of Commerce Secures Leases Totaling 177,000 Sq. Ft. with Three National Credit Tenants

Miramar Park of Commerce, South Florida’s largest locally owned and managed business Park, has announced the signing of multiple lease agreements totaling 177,000 sq. ft. of space with three nationally recognized companies: Walgreen Co. (Walgreens), Stanley Black & Decker and Pepperidge Farm.

“We’ve developed long-term relationships with these three familiar household names and have been successful over the years in meeting their expansion needs at our business park,” said Peter (“PJ”) Apol, Director of Leasing and Marketing for Sunbeam Properties & Development, developer of the Park. “Tenants come to the Miramar Park of Commerce with a need for space and end up finding a long-term home as a result of the flexibility we provide as a landlord.”

Walgreens expanded its offices by 11,314 sq. ft. to include a training facility at 3130 Executive Way in the Miramar Park of Commerce. With the signing of the new lease, Walgreens will occupy a total of 63,177 sq. ft. in the Park. A leading American pharmacy, health and beauty company, Walgreens serves approximately nine million customers each day in neighborhoods across the country.  While at Jones Lang LaSalle, Iker Belauste represented Walgreens.

Stanley Black & Decker is the world’s largest tool and outdoor company, operating manufacturing facilities worldwide. The company has renewed its lease at 9850 Premier Parkway in the Miramar Park of Commerce. Stanley Black & Decker originally moved to 62,201 sq. ft. of space the Park in 2001 and has since expanded to occupy 150,000 sq. ft. of warehousing, distribution and office space. Randy Rome of Cushman & Wakefield of Florida represented Stanley Black & Decker.

Pepperidge Farm, a leading provider of premium quality fresh bakery products, cookies, crackers and frozen foods, has renewed its lease at 3225 Commerce Parkway in the Miramar Park of Commerce. The company first moved to the Park in 2010, consolidating locations and expanding operations into a 16,289-sq.-ft. warehouse and distribution center to serve retail outlets and homes across the region. Rick Etner of Cushman & Wakefield of Florida represented Pepperidge Farm.
